More about the course

This course was developed by Prof. Mark Williams, of the Oxford Mindfulness Centre. It is great for busy people or as a refresher course for those who have already taken an eight week course. 

It's also widely used in the workplace to foster resilience among employees.

This is the programme that has been taught in the UK to Members of Parliament.

Based on the book of the same name, written by Mark Williams and Danny Penman, it takes place over eight weekly sessions of 90 minutes (plus a shorter, pre course Orientation session).

Whilst drawing on the main elements of both MBSR and MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy), the sessions and home practice recommendations are shorter making it more easily accessible to people under time pressure.

The 10 to 20 minutes of daily home practise between sessions are really helpful in getting the most out of the course and developing the habit of mindful living.

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, courses are currently being held online via Zoom.

The advantage of this is you don't need to worry about social distancing and can take part from the comfort of our own home.
